Cody Ware
Early Life

Born November 7, 1995, Cody Shane Ware represents the third generation of his racing family. As the son of NASCAR team owner Rick Ware, Cody was immersed in the world of motorsports from an early age, giving him unique insight into both the competitive and business sides of professional racing.
Racing Career
Ware has built a diverse racing portfolio spanning multiple disciplines including stock car, sports car, and open-wheel racing. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 51 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Rick Ware Racing, while also running part-time in the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series in the No. 30 Chevrolet Camaro SS for Barrett–Cope Racing.
His sports car racing career began in earnest in 2014 with the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America series, where he claimed Rookie of the Year honors. Ware has since competed in prestigious endurance events including the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2020 with EuroInternational and the 2021 24 Hours of Daytona as part of RWR Eurasia's LMP2 program alongside Austin Dillon, Salih Yoluç, and Sven Müller.
Notable sports car achievements include a second-place finish in the LMPS Am class at Shanghai International Circuit in 2019 despite missing qualifying and having only two practice laps, and an LMP2 Am Trophy class victory at The Bend Motorsport Park in January 2020 with co-driver Gustas Grinbergas. In 2020, he expanded into GT4 competition with a debut in the GT4 America Series SprintX at Sonoma Raceway, finishing fifth overall and third in the Silver class.
Most recently, Ware competed in the 2024 IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge driving the Ligier JS P320 LMP3 for Rick Ware Racing with Ave Motorsports, securing a podium finish with third place in the first race.
